Luego de procesar con Redatam las bases de microdatos censales de Cuba 2012 y Honduras 2013, más la corrección de Venezuela 2011, IMILA y la ronda de censos de 2010 entera 12 países con los tabulados estándar.

Al igual que en actualizaciones anteriores, nos es grato informar que, luego de procesar con Redatam las bases de microdatos censales de Argentina 2010 y de Colombia 2005, se han agregado todos los tabulados estandarizados de MIALC posibles de calcular. En el caso de Cuba 2012 se trata de los tabulados de migración de toda la vida. Además se añadieron algunos tabulados pendientes de Bolivia 2012. Por primera vez MIALC incluye resultados a escala de DAME para los primeros dos países.

Entre los días 27 y 29 de noviembre (2017) se dictará este seminario cuyo objetivo principal es promover el uso de nuevas tecnologías en los procesos censales, con el fin de mejorar su calidad y cobertura, y está dirigido a los funcionarios y funcionarias de los Institutos Nacionales de Estadística de la región que se desempeñan en el equipo de censos de población y vivienda.

Experts from the Burundi Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies and the UNFPA-Burundi National Office will hold a two-week internship at CELADE, Population Division of ECLAC, to deepen the use of REDATAM as a platform for processing, analysis and dissemination of the socio-demographic information produced by the Institute.
